Fault Code Reset

As far as resetting codes is concerned, this generally not something for the doityourselfer. Depending on the code, most likely you need the diagnostic gadget which runs several hundert $$s plus the B.U.D.S software.
Question is, do any of the major autoparts stores rent that equipment?

it just seems funny guys that the fault light was on every time I started the machine and the only time it cleared was when I gave the can am salute..oh well back to the drawing board.

You are correct it will clear non active codes such as codes generated-by low battery voltage loose terminals etc
