How Can I Brighten the Digital Dash?
The only method I can find is the "contrast" setting and its already on 100%; however, in bright sun I can't read the small numbers on the top and bottom edge. Its much darker than my previous '11 Rt.

Is it possible to add a "Sun-Visor" over top of it; somehow?

Take your sunglasses off.
Lol
On my STS I find I have to tilt my head around a bit to see the smaller parts of the display because of some of the reflections.

Even without sunglasses its dim. I'll compare it to other 14's to see if
they've done something different or perhaps mine is defective.

I've found that my display is just as dim as all of the other Spyders that I have had. It is nearly impossible to see it in bright sunlight and there is a lot of that around here!

These are motorcycles...
And they're out in the sunshine... If we're fortunate to find any of it!
Some things just must be accepted... or adapted!

Thinks out loud
What we need is a stick on magnafier that covers those hard to read areas but does not interfere with what's BIG enough to see already. There are companys that make such stuff but ? whether they would have any special application capabilities or interest therein is questionable.
Identify what you have control over and find peace with what you don't.

You're right on both counts. Tho, one of them you could have left off
