'B' trip meter - do you use it
already?
If not, you may want to use it this way. Help reduce memory fade. Reset it each time you check/add oil.

It in is pretty easy to accidentally reset the trip meter, whether it is A or B. I think you'd be better off writing down your mileage at your oil change. Use B for a trip and the A for miles between fuel stops

Did that for years too. But with an engine that requires frequent oil checks. I now jot my start mileage down.

I use A for my trip and B for fuel stops. You people are weird.

I write down my oil change miles in the back of my owners manual. I just keep a log back there of the things I do or have done.

Simple logbook
Using a simple pocket size notebook and a pencil works better. You cannot accidentally delete it. You can keep it handy in the top glove box which is to small for anything else.
Nothing weird about that.

I use "A" for fuel, "B" for trip mileage. I prefer to document my oil changes for warranty purposes, but using "B" for that purpose is a good reminder if it is otherwise unused. Just don't accidentally pause it.

That's what I always did with the Goldwing and I plan to do the same with the Spyder. I have no trouble remembering when I did the last oil change. So far, I only have about 360 miles on the Spyder because of cold, rainy, snowy weather. I'm trying to spend the other 250 miles so as to have it serviced before the Spring rush at the dealer.

When on a long Trip I resest both A and B
A - I use for total milage for the trip e.g Over say 9 days etc
B - I use for daily mileage
Otherwise I reset A and B when I Fill up and just change B when on a day trip out just to note the mileage covered for that day
I just check my oil every 500 miles - Starting at say 12000, Then 12500, 13000 Then 13500 and so on - That can easly be remembered
