Trailer hitch wiring

I heard today is a difference between 2013 and 2014 trailer hitch wiring harness on 14 they have a cable go to the trany. any body can confirm if a 13 cable will work on 14 with mod?
On 14 as soon you plug the trailer it go on trailer mod

On the 2014s there isn't a trailer mode.

No trailer mode on the '14. It has a different type of clutch so it isn't susceptible to damage, and it has enough torque that you don't need to downshift as soon. The wiring is the same as the '13...square-4.
