QUESTION?
I'm considering for the catalyst to open .......
and remove the entrails
there are rider who have this surgery done?
My consideration is based on the heat problem / mpg improvement.
it is necessary for fuel control to consider not going to run the engine too lean .....
ennige suggestion around there........

You will have no issues at all with running lean by removing the cat. In my opinion, its a good move as long as you don't have to deal with state inspections.

Here's another option for you. More expensive than gutting your Cat but a lot easier. I've got about 10,000 miles since removing catalytic converter with no issues. Better tone, slight mileage improvement and less heat for sure.

Go for it..!!
I don't believe you have smog controls which would be your only issue. Many have done it here with no problem and there are many exhaust systems you can install that will do this as well. If in doubt get a spare so you can change it back. Check for sale section here...

I have run across a picture of someones Cat after they peeled the top open but can't find it now. Anybody know where it is?
Sure wish I knew how to properly use the search function of this site.
