it was fun while it lasted.

On my 2011 RS-S it is on the RH grip in front of the grip. The manual says you can use it to turn on the headlights without starting the Spyder. It says it will reflect into the frunk to help find stuff, though it seems less than optimal for that purpose because you have to hold it on.

I thought it was for signaling other drivers. Like flashing your lights twice to say "It's ok to merge in front of me" or flashing your lights to say "There's a speed trap ahead."

Bob,
Are you sure that wasn't the 396? I know there was a Ford 390.

The 1503 is a totally different motor than the 1330. The 1503 has been around since late 2002 and NA makes anywhere from 130-155hp depending on platform. Supercharged versions make up to 260hp stock and guys in the know, push them easily well over 300hp very reliably. It's an extremely well built motor that responds nicely to mods.
While it would be nice, I highly doubt your going to see the 1503 in the spyder.

That button ...
If it is the one I think you are asking about... I have one on mine and was told
that it is there so at night when you have the trunk lid up and push the button it
lights up the inside of the trunk... or bonnet if you will... is that the one?
