Can anyone tell me if a 215/60R15 will work on the rear of my bike 2012 R/T limted ? A friend has brand new Dunlop he'll give me if it will fit.

It will work. A little narrower than OEM. But just because it fits doesn't mean it's the best (or even a good) way to go. Which Dunlop is it?

looks like very little difference

with Ron. It will fit, as many off sizes do, but it does not mean it is the best one. Free is a great incentive. There is a lot on this subject if you search it out..

Dunlop signature

I don't mean to be a party pooper here but it is very important to do your homework when selecting tires for anything. Especially so with your Spyder.

The Dunlop Signature is a 'Standard Touring All-Season' tire. This is basically a family vehicle, OEM replacement type tire. This is not really what you're looking for on your Spyder.

Here is a telling assessment by the Tire Rack which is pretty much standard for this kind of tire.

'Appears to emphasize road comfort over traction, especially in the wet'.

#1 on your agenda should be Traction. And #2 should be Wet Traction, (not necessarily in that order). If you mount this tire you're going to have less footprint than with the OEM tire, less traction in all conditions and especially in wet situations.

I'm sorry, but sometimes you just have to look a gift horse in the mouth....

-Toyo R888 225/50 R15, approved for road, but not good under rain (aquaplanning).

the 60 Series tires are a bit taller than the 50's, and may 'tap' the inside of your fenders when on rough roads...
