Almost Human...good or bad show?
I have tried on several occasions to watch the show "Almost Human" because it features the Can-Am Spyder. The show has many elements that I would normally find appealing (Crime drama, cyborgs, action, etc), but try as I might I just can't get into it as a series. I have tried on 5 separate occasions to watch, but have yet to finish a single episode in its entirety. This fact got me to wondering if I was alone in this mindset. I almost feel as if I am betraying my BRP brethren by not embracing the series. Is there anyone else out there than feels as if "Almons Human" simply is not their cup of tea? Maybe I am the only Spyderlover that is not a fan of the show afterall...
For the record, I do not dislike the show per se...I just can't bring myself to watch/DVR it.

I started to watch and quickly became bored with the show. it is not that it is a bad show, but each episode seemed the same. Boring....

Other than the Futuristic Theme...
It's just like all other crime drama schlock coming out of Hollywood these days. Some of the futuristic stuff is cool but most is cheap props etc. The writing and directing seems a bit lame to me.

I find some of it humorous. I enjoy watching the android as he continues to develop his "human" characteristics. I also make it point to look for the single Spyder sighting in each episode. There is an underlying continuing story/plot that unless you watch them all you will not understand or be able to follow. I've watched all of the episodes completely through and find it a lot like many other cop shows (which there are too many of) I enjoy it more than some of them. I do not expect it to last more than a singe season because there isn't enough blood, guts and special effects for today's TV viewers. I will miss it.

Even without the Spyder sightings, I like this show... the friendship/bond developing between the android and his human detective is great to watch... almost like Data from StarTrek Next Gen.... BUT... I'm an avid SciFi, fantasy fiction fan.... Star Trek/Wars/Gate, all Marvel comic book character movies, X-Men, Lord of the Rings/Hobbit movies...... and several other 'out there' current TV series that are on this season... do you sort of see a pattern here? My husband just rolls his eyes?!?

I'm normally a Sci-Fi fan, and I like it. To each his own...

I have watched the show from the beginning , at first I did not know they were going to feature Spyders on the show but once I seen one it was like , FAR OUT MAN!!!, Been a fan of the show , the last episode where the guy was putting bombs around peoples necks was sick , but the shield they put up to shield everyone from the blast was cool,

I also like to bug my HD buddies that unlike them I ride the bike of the future!
Watch out - when the show does not get renewed for season 2, your HD buddies will ask if the same will happen to your Spyder.
I watch the show, and agree that its OK - but like most, do not think that it will make it to season 2.

I like the show. The last episode was funny. I like Karl Urban as an actor. He's been in a lot of stuff from good guys to bad.
