    Default Hayabusa Reverse Trike...

This reverse trike is described as "sort of a Can-Am Spyder on steroids". Not necessarily a bike for those long touring trips, but definitely fun looking and sexy to look at.
I would not give up my Spyder for one...but wouldn't mind adding one of these to my stable. If only I were Jay Leno...

As a Spyder owner, would you:
    A) Get rid of your Spyder for one
    B) Add one of these to the spyder(s) you have
    C) Not take one of these if it were given to you free of charge

I love to see people think outside of the box and the custom stuff is very interesting!
There have been a few custom reverse trikes that have made their way around for a handful of years now. Some are pretty cool but it seems like they all primarily focus on the power plant....not totally a bad thing.....but, The concerns I see most often is the constant use of motorcycle tires on them. They don't lean, so that contact patch is limited. It will ONLY run that center patch. Motorcycle tires wear out fast enough.... Also, I cannot even imagine having any suspension travel on that rear end before the tire contacting the back of the body/fender....
This would look great at the shows though...!!

    It's pretty...
But I'd be punching "C" on the ballot card.

Default Just as a collector bike...

I would like one as a collector...but have to admit using it as a daily driver as I do my current Spyder would be out of the question.
Wouldn't even think of putting my 7 year old on the back of that either.

Now if you're talkin' the 1/4 mile at your local race track, sign me up...

I'd still take the GG Taurus over the 'Busa though...

Would not work for me. My body will not fit the RS without pain so there is no way I could ride that.

    Thumbs down

Definitely C... those machines lack the aesthetics I love in my Spyder! (lack of Frunk-space also get's them a C in my book!)

Like any conversion kit ............ warranty good only at a few select dealers.

I do like the Goldwing conversion, but did run across something I hadn't seen previously...a Victory conversion. I'm sure they've been out there for a while, but it's a 1st for me. I imagine they suffer from the same instability of the other standard (non-reverse) trikes though...

Yep!! There is always a servicing problem with any small volume vehicle manufacturer, including Can-Am.
I would love either the GG Taurus or the Gold Wing Reverse trike as an alternative to my Spyder
but only if my local agent closed his doors, which is unlikely.
The GG Taurus is becoming available in the US but the US is a big place and if you don't have a shop within
say, 200 miles then it would be impractical to own one.
The company, however, are saying that the Taurus can be serviced by any of 400 BMW dealerships.

The reverse 1800cc Gold Wing trike is available in Europe from a company, Sturgis Motoren, in The Netherlands.
They do export kits. But you have to supply the GL1800!
