I was either in the hospital or re-hab from Oct.1st till the day after Christmas. 3 months without coming home. I am still doing Re-Hab at home and I am walking with a walker and no longer need my wheelchair. I can almost walk without my walker. I drove my car yesterday and went out to the garage and mounted my Spyder!!!!!. The battery is dead but I was ready to ride.
Just as a side note I put jumper cables on like the book says without my car running but nothing happened. The manual says don't have the car running. What am I doing wrong? Should I try a battery charger or what? It hasn't been started in 3 months, but the garage is heated.

Really happy to hear you are doing much better.
As to the battery, sounds like you'll need to put a charger on it. Jumping a dead battery may not always work. You can try to jump it by hooking it up then starting the jump vehicle and letting it run a few minutes. But you're best bet is putting a charger on it. And you need to make sure the connections at the battery are not corroded from sitting.

Hello
Glad to hear that you are getting better. Check that you had the jumper cables on the correct terminals and that when you sat on your spyder you did not knock the cable clamp off the battery terminal. I am not sure what model and year of your spyder. My spyder Rt is 2010 with battery under the seat.

Good to hear you are doing better!
You need to put a battery tender on the battery if you don't get the chance to use it much.....sayin' the battery isn't dead dead.

Kill switch
First things first...... you didn't say if you checked the kill switch. As simple as it seems many of us forget.
