Default My first Spyder(motorcycle also), looking for a little 'Tender' ness in Chicago!

What is the best Battery Tender for my 13 ST-S, I was told a Tender was the way to go- better than a trickle charger. Also looking at a Deltran - not sure if I need 12 volt or a 6 volt. I'm told I will need one of these in Chicagoland but I would like to ride whenever I can.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks

    Default tender

your better off with a battery tender, most motorcycle dealers sell them, you just plug it to the bike and the wall outlet and it will keep the battery at peak performance

One of the Deltran "Battery Tender brand" models for motorcycles will be fine. There are other brands as well. Just make sure they are a smart charger that will not overcharge.

    Default Cheap but Good Alternative

This is what I have been using on my Goldwing and Silverwing for several years.

Replace the alligator clips with these and you're set.

On the battery half of the wires, hook the female to the positive and vice-versa for the charger side! It works great!

The Deltran Battery Tender Jr., BT Plus, Accumate, Optimate, Xtreme, and Genius all work well. There are others, too.
