New Digital Water Temp Gauge Install

I just purchased a Innovative Motor Sports water temp gauge to match the Air Fuel ratio gauge I am installing. The water temp is both Volts and Water temp so I need to install the water temp sensor which has 1/8 PT external threads. What have others done or recommend for this install? Is there a good location already existing to install this or, if not how else do I get it done?

Have you tried Fastenal, or what the proper spelling.?
They have stores all over and might have the right T, if there's room for it, on the radiator. I can't find the name of the outfit in FL where I got a special T for the oil pressure sending unit and original warning light sender. It's in the forum someplace.
Where did you find the combo gauge- that's a great idea, is it digital?

What type of AFR gauge are you installing, narrow band or wide band? Are you adding a new O2 sensor for the AFR gauge?

The reports I have read indicate that using a narrow band gauge with the existing oem O2 sensor does not give meaningful readings, but some others on here have done this and may have comments.....

Don't waste your time with a narrowband gauge. It just isn't accurate/consistent enough to give a good reading.
The innovate mtx-l is a nice, inexpensive wideband. It also has a narrowband output to wire into the ecu connection if desired.

I like the idea of also having a coolant temp gauge.
Just an idea...What about putting the sensor in the radiator drain?? Just have to be super careful taking the plug out as they have been known to break the plug threads.....

The gauges are from innovative motor sports and yes, I am installing the wide band gauge O2 sensors just before the muffler, one for the gauge an done for the Power Commander Auto Tune (I have not cat now). I finally worked out that the radiator temperature sender adapter I needed is a 28mm. base on Lammont's post where he did a similar mod so it is ordered and on it's way.

Right now I have a narrow band gauge temporally installed and the readings require some interpretation to be kind, lol... But, with a bit of practice I can judge that I am on the rich side right now at idle and wide open, the rest of the time it is spot on but a bit rich. Every so often it goes a bit lean when I roll on the throttle a bit aggressively but not wide open.

Any idea if that Tee is compatible with the Spyder? Looks like it needs to be installed inline in a water line and the ones on the Spydef look bigger than the largest Tee. I do like their gauge and hookup if it will work.

I may give this a shot this summer. I need to find a combined water and air temp digital gauge that I like.

I too inserted a 28mm sensor adapter in the upper radiator hose. Took out a chunk about an inch long to compensate for the adapter. I bought an Oetiker clamp tool but after trying four different size clamps, I gave up and found some spring loaded constant tension worm drive clamps. With the wide temp variations in the RT coolant system, I wanted something a little better than a plain worm drive clamp. A plain clamp will squish out the hose ends if the engine is cool when the clamp is tightened. The engine heats up and the hose gets squashed. If you tighten when warm, the hose may leak when it cools. The Oetikers have a bit of constant tension function built into the design but I couldn't make them work in that confined space.
