2014 major Spyder/Motorcycle Events

I know it's early, but my teaching schedule has come out and I am trying to plan some motorcycle trips around it.

1. Lamont, what do you think about a dedicated Events/Rides Section/Thread? We have model specific Forums, but maybe one that is just dedicated to big events and rides. Make it easy to find out about SpyderFest, Maggie Valley, your barbecue, Spyder Rally in Myrtle, etc.
2. Spyder Owners Event in Maggie Valley again this year? If so, dates? I need to allocate more time for it this year, last year we rushed through that then rushed over to Lamont's, then rushed home.
3. SpyderFest, Cuba MO? Dates? Info?
4. Any others to be aware of? Besides what's below... (updated 1/2/14)

I would bet heavily against BRP owners event being in Maggie Valley again . consecutive years there would "toast" the westerners..... and frankly leave a lot of places
unexplored..

Man, that butts right up against the Spyder Rally in Myrtle. I originally thought the Myrtle Spyder Rally was going to be the first weekend of Bike week (which is the following week) but I must have had wrong in my head. It would be nice if we didn't have to chose one or the other, but realistically, 3000 mile round trip or 360 mile round trip? hmmm... Gonna have to go with 360. I still have to work and taking enough time to get out to MO and back and spend some time out there isn't for those with limited vacation times.

For those wanting to attend bike week March 7th to 16th at Daytona the Spyderlovers host hotel The Country Inn &Suites still has rooms at special rates of $159.00 per night for Spyderlovers..Many of us have booked including Lamonster, Len of Pitbull.Reggy of Tricled and Harvey of Spyderpops.Book as little or as many nights a you wish.Lamont,Harvey,Len and the Pittbull Crew will be doing Alignments in the parking lot of the hotel.
The BRP owners appreciation day should be the last weekend with hopefully the ride on the track.

In Hawaii, they call California back east too. I've been to Oatman. Why don't you set up a Spyder meeting there with the burros.

Actually, in Hawai'i, they just lump everything from Maine to California together as: "da mainland"!

Setting up a Spyder meet up in Oatman would be a real gas. There are a couple of good hotels nearby.
Unfortunately, I don't have a clue how to get such a meetup started. (color me stupid if you want--but I really have no idea how to start such a thing.)

Exactly, I am a new guy and want to make it to some events but am getting conflicting information or no information at all.
Great way to enlarge the community and welcome new Spyder riders.
