Find it humorous that I hate spiders.
My wife was asking me if I thought it was strange that I liked spyders so much. And at the same time have an absolute terror attack when I get close to a real spider. I had pet snakes as a kid and still have no fear of them. Even the kind of snakes that can make you wake up dead. Actually I have no fear of really any animal except spiders. I even get squeamish when I see a spider that is painted on a spyder. I bet there are others that have the same fear and ride a spyder. Any other share the same feeling?

Love the bike, hate the bugs enough I will not put 8 legged logos on the bike. I find this thread humorous in that I had the same conundrum myself.

I offered rides on my Spyder to several members of the GWRRA club, I belong to. Couple said, yes and did so. One lady said, she would like to, but was scared of the name and would not. After she left, I asked her husbund if she was serious. He replied, I am not sure, but she is really scared to death of Spiders.

Pulled our shower curtain back so I could take a shower and in the tub was the biggest wolf spider that I had ever seen.Damn near had my second heart attack. Scared me so bad I could hardly move. Just kinda stood there and shook all over, I then got up enough courage to try and rinse it down the drain but it was too big to go down. I think all I did was make it mad. Then I emptied a full can of bug killer on it and it didn't affect it at all. Ran out to the garage a grabbed a can of auto zone brake parts cleaner and let him have it.That finally did him in. I was still to scared to get it out of the tub in fear it would come back to life or something so I did the only thing and grown man would do I called the wife. She came in and wanted to know what in the h--- had I sprayed in the bathroom to stink it up so bad.I showed her the dead spider. She did say wow thats a biggest spider I have ever seen. She then went and got a dust pan and broom and removed it and I'm thinking why didn't I think of that. Ya know I still get chills every time I pull that shower curtain back to this day.Very few things in this world scare me but spiders I am not ashamed to admit I am petrofied of. I never will understand why they were ever put on this earth. EVER!!!

I just pick them up and put them outside. My garage is full of wolf spiders. I just move them aside when working out there. When i was stationed in New Mexico I had a tarantula under that would stay under my hat. Read that under my hat. We had them in the hangar too. When we worked on the flightline at night we had one person on guard with a strong light to watch out for the scorpions. We also taped our paints legs so the wouldn't climb up. In other words, spiders don't bother me. The only ones I'll kill are black widows. They get in the garage the shed and my shop.

My family and I lived in Panama for two years when I was 4-5 years old. I was bitten by a spider while there that was seriously venomous. There was talk of amputating my leg but things finally worked out. Still have a terrible mark on the leg. I can't stand to even look at a spider picture.
