From me, a tip of the helmit to someone who is not afraid to ryde--regardless of conditions.
That dirt is the same stuff that we encounter in Alaska in the spring--glacial till. It clogs filters, makes the brakes sticky, and if not cleaned off the brake armature, causes limp modes.
