I got this suit last winter and I love it--I rode my KLR all winter long--as low as 10 degrees and suit performed perfectly. So, if you're on the fence--don't hesitate--get it soon!

Most people are good down to 30 degrees with just street cloths. If you add a warm base layer most can easily ride in 20 degrees. In most places there are usually many bright, sunny and dry days in the winter where the only real issue is the cold. Take care of that and you can have a lot of fun in the 'Off Season'.

Post This suit is the cat's meow

Rode all last winter albeit the winters in SE Virginia are relatively mild. However rode during some low 30s high 20s days and with this suit on over street clothes (jeans and long sleeve shirt) I was comfy.

Great cold weather gear...you won't be sorry !

I like the thermo suit a lot. Is this typical Firstgear fit? Legs built only for tall people? I have a 27" inseam and usually cannot get the length adjusted because of onboard zippers.

A sizing chart would be nice. Firstgear dont even have one on their website for one-piece suits.

Great suit. Bought one last year. Usually ride around with shorts and t shirt underneath. Very good quality also.

This is a 1 Piece suit so it's geared towards the 'Standard' body shape with quite a bit of extra room built in. These do not have to fit perfectly to fit well. They will fit a very wide range of sizes and shapes and are very forgiving.

Here is the sizing chart for the Thermo. Remember, you want a bit more inseam than what you normally wear because you need a longer leg to cover well in the seated position. The sleeve length is measured from the outside edge of the shoulder so it appears short. My sleeve length is 33" and the medium fits me fine. Not sure why they don't use the typical measuring point for these Thermo suits.

The Chest/Waist and Hip measurements are Maximum dimensions. They will fit you fine if you have smaller diameters. Also, you need to figure in the clothing that you intend to wear. Some wear full armored jacket/pants under these suits. Many just wear street cloths.

These are great for commuters as they will keep you warm with just your work cloths on underneath in most cases.

Being cold is no fun. Been there, done that.

It's a beautiful thing to be out riding on an otherwise nice, but cold day, warm and comfy, while everyone else has parked their ride for the winter. Keeps the juices flowing in your Spyder, and in you too!

    Default Great Suit

Bought one of the First Gear Thermo Suits from Ron last year. Can't remember what the lowest temp I rode in. But suffice it to say I rode ALL winter, except when road conditions prevented me. As an FYI, I'm about 6' 180 lbs, and the large fits perfect.

I ordered one from Ron, today, and, with shipping, I paid for it! . . . can't wait . . . I plan on riding whenever the roads are dry, whatever the temps.
