we spoke this morning on the phone, with some of the problems we are having and people loosing the use of their bikes for days or even a week or more i personally think BRP should tell the dealers to give us a loaner bike to use when our bikes are held up for warranty work
2013 RT bought in June, runs hotter than 2012 RT reported on BRP survey
I bought a 2013 RT Limited in June, my wife and i made a trip to outside of Yosemite on the breakin trip about 400 miles. No problems, but we noticed it seemed hotter than the rented 2012 RT, thought maybe due to being new and not broken in. At 1800 miles it still seems to be hotter than it should be. I took it in for the recall in September, that did not make any difference, just protected vulnerable parts.
We like what we have hopefully there is an effective solution BRP can come up with.
Just be aware that some of the "horror" stories you'll receive are the fault of unsatisfactory dealers rather than BRP. I think BRP could improve the perception of Spyders if dealers were required to have BRP certified technicians. You might also do as Ford and other auto manufacturers do. That is send a survey out every time a Spyder is serviced by a dealer. That way BRP would find out pretty quickly which dealers should no longer be servicing Spyders.
Just an FYI,I do receive survey every time I have a service.

Just got mine in. Really happy, but expressed my concerns as well. Thanks Steve. Thanks for listening Steve.

I have had pretty much no major issues for 15k..warranty: windshield bracket, new cluster, new turn signal switch. I'd rather leave the space for people with real issues, so i'll pass on the survey and hope BRP helps the people who really need it.

I think some of us may be missing the whole point of this effort by Steve and BRP. They are looking for ALL owner experiences. Like any good manufacturer, they want to know what you like about their product as much as they do about what you don't like.
They are trying to make the good BETTER and the bad go away.
That means they need to hear about both the good experiences as well as the less than ideal.
Not trying to speak for Steve or BRP, but by all means, if you've had a great, trouble free experience with your Spyder, let them know about it! I think there are a lot more of you than might appear by reading this (or any other) forum.
