    Default 2014 RT - Q and A's

With so many people asking various questions on the New 2014 RT's and getting several answers
Perhaps someone can put them all together in one post

Very much like the post -

    • "Do's and Do Nots" for new Spyder owners...

So prospective owners will not have to locate all the various posts

Although not in the market for a new Spyder RT just yet, I enjoy finding out as much as possible about the improvements BRP have made and how the latest model compares against the earlier ones

The post if someone comes up with one will grow as owners start to take delivery and ride them on trips etc and discover things for themselves a bit like disconnecting the Fuel and Temp gauges for the info to appear in the digital display which I discovered here on Spyderlovers just after getting my 2010 RT-S SE5 Model

Good idea! I am wondering if the front fenders have actual LED lights or are they reflectors like they were in 2013? Or are they lit on just the Limited model? Just wondering how much money I will need to send to Reggy at TricLED.

    Default Too many..!!

questions not enough answers. But here's the thing..until Joe public, with his ability to truly put a product to the test, most answers will be based on the few test ryders having ridden a few hundred miles. When production starts many things change from test vehicles. Need more time more miles more ryders..jmo...

    Default 2014 RT - Q and A's

I think the biggest problem with the 2014 RT, even though the improvements are subtantial, I'm afraid the price will be also.

You get to a point where one needs to decide between a Mini-Van or a Trike, WOW!, who would have thought.

The price; it's still cheaper than the cheapest Tri-Glide or Triked 'Wing...

I said similar last year about this time. I would change the part about test ryders from a few hundred miles to about five thousand miles or so. That will give a pretty good picture.

As stated elsewhere--I am hoping that BRP does well this go-around.

From what I have read the price is an insignificant increase ver the 2013 Models.

    Default More Q..

So I've decided to change my -11 RT-SE:

    I want a -14 with:
    -XM radio
    -black wheels
-no chrome but polished "alloy" (plastic?)
-either install my Zumo 550 or get a new 660
-grey color (could live with Cognac too!)
-Brown or Burgundy seat would be a plus but not a deal breaker!!

So which model shouls I choose?

    Thanks!

The RTS would be the one you want as it has the black wheels - less chrome than the limited but it does still have some.

Here is the new pricing and I know that on the RT-S SM the price is $450 more than the 2013 pricing. And, in my opinion, that is peanuts for the amount of changes that were made.

I saw that chart, Ann. You're not helping. Lol!

I'll wait 2 or 3 years.... I might drive one of the 3 cylinders in a year or two.
