Not to happy about most of the colors. I do like the black and white though.

The new panels help flow more air and I'm sure there have been other changes not mentioned.

Wife and I are hooked! Big time! Everything we had hoped for, and then some. Engine, tranny, redesigned, increased cooling. Lamont I do have a question about the heated seat. Is it only on the optional seat? Does it run much cooler? Thanks, Tom.

Got to love the stats for the new engine on the dyno chart. This lower rpm torque is going to make a lot of people happy, especially those who do not like a higher-rev engine.

We'll have to wait before upgrading. Just got my wife's 2013 RT Limited 2 weeks ago. Upgrades do look nice though.

I think you can't go wrong with either color Ann. White may be more "classy" yellow may be more "snazzy"! What mood are you in?

I wonder if there will be problems with the center cylinder heating up too much and failing. I have seen a lot of problems in the past with inline 3 cylinders and that was with open engines. I for one will wait to make sure that the engine will perform as stated. There was a lot of hoopla last year with the ST's and then we saw the problems arise. I really hope this engine does well and is in all the lines later on.

Lamont - Do you have any idea if the VSS updates on the 2014 RS-S will be available as an upgrade for us 2013 owners? Would really love a little bit less Nanny interaction!

Ummmm.....Lamont....Do you think it would be just teeensy bit premature if I asked
what was on the BRP menu for 2015?
I would really, really like to see that triple in an RS-S, now that would spell oodles of fun!!
    Back to reality.
OK! So you said that the new rear fender on the 2014 is retro-fittable to the older RS-S models...Great!!
Is the new VSS programming also going to be available to owners of older RS-S machines?

What about the audio system on the RT? Anything different there? There's certainly room for BIG improvements!

It has to be remembered that this is a fluid cooled motor and if the cooling system is adequate then no such problems should exist.
I'm old enough to remember both the Triumph Trident and the BSA Rocket Three which both suffered center cylinder overheating problems,
but it has to be remembered that these were air-cooled motors and even the later Triumphs in the guise of the T160V overcame the problem
    as did Laverda in Italy.
With modern engine technology there should be absolutely no such difficulties any more than with say a modern four cylinder car engine.

    Default Impressed But...

Love the specs on the new RT. That should really attract the Goldwing / Ultra Classic crowd. Just wish they would put the new higher horsepower/longer range engine/transmission in their Sport Tourer version. The wife would probably have been at the dealer tomorrow to place an order for the ST had it come with the new engine, trading in her 2011 RT-S Limited. She would love to be on a sport tourer that will mostly keep up with my sport tourer, rather than having to stop for gas twice as often. Maybe in 2015, Can Am will turn the ST into a real sport tourer with plenty of horsepower and long legs?!? It looks like the 2014 RT is the Robust Tourer and the 2014 ST is now the Short Tourer, in comparison.

Man, I thought I was very happy with my '10 RT S. Had a great ride today and this thing preformed so well that I was saying to myself that it couldn't be any better, now they gotta go and do a 1300 inline 3. Crap. I gotta figure out a way to stay away from my dealer for sure. Don't like th new colors at all though.

Can't say what's on the board for 2015, just have to wait and see. The VSS can not be reprogrammed on any other models.

That's one of the first things you'll notice. Pretty much pulls hard from 2000 rpm on up.

My last ride was in the 90's and heat from the bike was a non issue.

I might be able to hold off a while if they don't offer a blue one. Can't help it, I like blue.
