No, it's at North Country. Why do you ask?

Mine too. I've put 3500 miles on it since June and had no other issues. I was wondering if anyone else had this noise.

I have the same chatter plus a new stalling issue on my 2013 RT LTD. it seems to stall when hot, such as when I return to the bike after a rest stop. The chatter comes and goes. I had it in for service and the recall while up at Spyderquest. Progressive Motorsports did the work, and I trust them. However, they couldn't duplicate the problem on a 10 mile test ride, and I couldn't leave it there. As to the recall, the canister is damaged and they didn't have one, so they gave me the insulation and a part number for the canister for my local dealer's use in completing the recall. I'm glad to know that I'm not crazy, and others are experiencing these issues.

I just picked up my 13 ST-L SE5
They've replace the clutch pack and the noise is still there. The said they started the diagnosis process at the rear wheel and moved forward to the clutch. BRP was involved and they had both agreed on the clutch but it didn't fix the problem. They said they don't have any other options but to contact the BRP rep and I said do it. I still have trust in them as I believe they actually have done all they can do. The service manager told me today that he had another one in this week that they noticed did the same thing but that doesn't make it right.

at the dealer
will by ride is at the dealer....
they are looking at the problem first i was told i needed to warm it up.
but after 15 minutes they got on the bike and they found that the bike was practically falling apart.
after calling BRP they said the where authorized to take it apart to find the problem.
i hope it is soon we have plans to go for a ride in the hill country next week.

Took my 2013 rt to the dealer for recall. Paperwork clerk starts it up puts it in reverse forgets to release emergency brake and bike stalls. I tell him to release the parking brake. He does and bike chatters in reverse also in first. I tell him it never happened before so he checkd it out with tech and bike shifts ok. So i am wondering if the parking brake does not release correctly it could cause chattering.

flamingobabe, do you know the current belt tension? The tech at my dealer has told me that the belt tension tolerance on the ST is much less than the older Spyders.
Thanks for the info, I'll pass it along to my dealer.

Oops, sorry, I meant a tighter tolerance from the discussion with the tech... But it looks like the tension is much higher and the tolerance of +/- 150 N remains the same on the info below... ???

1050 Newtons equal 236 ft. lbs using the Krikit belt tension tool. The belt on my 2013 reads 200 ft. lbs., which is a little low but I don't believe its causing the chatter sound on mine, anyway....Kind of reminds me of something loose like a muffler or tail pipe. Someday, if it ever stops raining up here I'll investigate it further.

Your conversion numbers are correct but your units are not. Newtons converts to pound-force (lbf), ft. lbs is a unit of measurement of torque.

Noises on take-off
I've recently noticed a new noise when taking off from a start in 1st gear. It almost sounds like static noise coming through the speakers. Muted any music but sound is still there. Can't tell if it there after 1st gear because of road, engine and trans noise. Anyone else hear this?? 2013 ST-Ltd. 1400 miles
