    Default Track Days - Colorado 2014 - Any Interest???

    LOCATION: HPR (High Plains Raceway http://www.highplainsraceway.com/index.html ) – 93301 U.S. Hwy 36, Deer Trail, CO 80105 On U.S. Highway 36, 17 miles east of Byers. This is only 60 miles (and less than one hour) east of metropolitan Denver with numerous accommodations within 20 miles of the track.
    To reach the track, exit I-70 at Byers (exit #316) and then take Highway 36 due east for 17 miles. The site is 460 acres. http://www.highplainsraceway.com/track.html
    DATE: Exact date TBD – the last 2 weeks of September or the First 2 weeks in October – THE 2014 CALENDAR HAS YET TO BE OFFICIALLY PUBLISHED!!
    Event Duration: Gates open around 7 a.m. Track goes hot from 8 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. Everyone must be off the track/racing surface no later than 5 p.m. HPR will close no later than 6 p.m. Everyone must be off the raceway property by closing time.
    COST: Riders – $100.00 for each rider who will be going on the track/course (those who will actually be going to ride on the track) Spectators $ 10.00 Kids under 16 – FREE

    LIABILITY WAIVER - ** NO ONE IS PERMITTED ON HIGH PLAINS RACEWAY PROPERTY WITHOUT FIRST SIGNING A LIABILITY WAIVER.
    Upon/prior to entering the facility you will be required to sign a Liability waiver! – ** EVERYONE MUST SIGN THE WAIVER - THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS! **
    All participants are REQUIRED to attend a Drivers/Riders safety briefing before they will be allowed on the track. There are NO EXCEPTIONS. ** There will be several briefings throughout the day – as needed based on rider participation
    SAFETY GEAR: Motorcycles - must have rear view mirrors covered with tape. ** Full face DOT/Snell helmets are required. ** Hinged full face modular helmets may be allowed (mechanism must lock securely). Motorcycle riders must wear full 1 piece or 2 piece leathers – textile Jackets/Pants may be allowed if they are of durable construction with body armor in all critical areas (ie: shoulders, elbows, middle of back etc). If a 2 piece suit is worn it must zip all the way around at the waist. Boots that cover the ankle and durable gloves that cover the wrist are required. ** Passengers are NOT allowed on ANY Spyder/motorcycle.** Equipment is subject to inspection at any time.
    TECHNICAL: Anyone who enters the racing surface as a driver must wear a helmet. Helmets must be designed for car or motorcycle use. Inspections – all vehicles will be inspected prior to entrance onto the track and will be required to correct any safety concerns before being allowed to continue to the track/racing surface. All vehicles must be in good general operating condition with acceptable tire tread depth and brake lining thickness. Vehicles must be free of any fluid leaks and all body work and other accessories must be securely attached. Battery must be securely tied down.
