I am thinking about buying front tires, Does anyone have any sugestions?
That blueknight911 thinks he knows it all about tires. I saw @ Pepboys 4 tires @ 129.95. Should I buy those? I only go 45mph, What do you think Oldcowboy? You seem to know alot about tires.
searching tires...there is a wealth of information on tires..there are current posts here now. I am sticking with the stock tires, they have worked well for me... Happy hunting..!!

I would imagine that, "Keeping the Peace" is important to you...
I think that you should let Mike offer some suggestions about which tires he'd like to see you on.
That way; we can all chime in later, and critique the choice!

(Just Funnin with ya all!!)
....Yes I am that guy, and they did work great for a very very very short amount of time. Then they failed. Only I suspected it was something else.....Didn't think it was the SHOCK......( BRP makes an unusual Shock ). I did admit to this a long time ago but you must have missed it. As I recall I got ROYALLY flamed for my STUPUDITY by people here who I didn't expect it from ....some repeatedly......I didn't realize when I turned the SHOCKS upside -down THAT EVERYONE at Spyderlovers was so smart they KNEW you couldn't Do that .....I guess that's why I was FLAMED ....End of Story.........Mike

I am running General Altimax RT 175/65-14 and have about 14000 miles on them and show almost no wear at all and no issues what so ever. They really fill up the fender cavity but do have adequate clearance. Great rain tire also and are non-directional so they can be switched to opposing sides without dismounting.....just rotate to other side.
I got a set of cheap tires for one of the cars a few years back. After about a year, the noise, and ride were horrible. I thought the car had serious problems... just replacing the tires made a world of difference. I would never buy the "cheapest" tires again.
That being said, I don't believe the most expensive is the way to go either. It's a matter of finding the right tire to meet YOUR needs.
I was going to go with the Kuhmo, simply because I've had good luck with them on cars, and I don't have to mortgage the house to buy a set. Others swear by the Toyo tires, and others say they hydroplane too much. Unfortunately, it really is a matter of finding which one meets your riding style / behavior.
As for me- the decision was made today.. I'll stick with OEM for this go around. Mine is due for the 14,000 mile service (rear bearings and such....) and since the rear wheel is off, and the tire is close to needing replaced, I figured I'd have the dealer install a Kuhmo... Nope. He won't install anything other than OEM, and I don't really have the time, or ambition to run a wheel all around the countryside just to get a different tire mounted...
Drunk driving is definitely a no no but you also need to include all the people who refuse to not text, talk on thier phone, put on make-up. I absolutely go crazy when I'm with a group over dinner or what ever just to look around at the people texting...O-zoned out..They're just as bad as drunk drivers...Not paying attention will get yourself killed, whether you on a bike or a cage..All the rules apply to everybody except me.
