And that's cool! I'm currently looking at a set of tront tires for my bike... The OEM Kendas have served me well; they're on the short list!

Ivor, I am interested in your experience with the Bridgestone Potenzas.... After using them this much do you feel they are as good as the Kendas in ryding the twisties? and in the rain?

Thanks for any comments you can share about these since some folks seem to think the Kendas are better than any car tires.

Kenda makes tires for lawn movers, Atv's, golf carts, and a spyder, enough said.

They actually do make "truck" tires...245/70R-15s...
who decided that they were at the bottom of the pile?

    Bottom ?,....I don't recall anyone saying " Bottom " Bob........However I equate " lawn mower tires ", " golf cart ", wheel barrow " etc ...with less than a " V " speed rating !!!!!!!!!....and Bob the 185/55-14 's Yokohama's I told you about are " V " rated and I'm not sure any of the others mentioned so far are........just sayin........Mike

Here you are, from post #29. I think I see you referring to Kenda's as being at the bottom.

What does a "V" rated tire give you when you put it on a vehicle that probably makes it to the "H" rating speed at best?

With all respect, why do you consider those tires to be defecient? Saying "but the company also makes wheelbarrow tires..." Or something similar is like telling me not to use Dial Soap because the company also makes dog food (yes, the company really does make both.)

What I am really asking is:"What is it about the tires that makes the tires deficient?"

    Hi Dan,
The only thing that would make a tire "deficient"; should be an owner's personal unhappy experiences with it...
I wasn't happy with the Kenda OEM tire at the rear of the bike; that's why I'm trying other brands.
The fronts have behaved well-enough that they're still on my list...
But there are always options out there... And more than half of the fun is in the shopping!

I have Kendas on my pedal bike. They suck. I do have the OEM's on the Spyder and as soon as they are in need of replacement, I personally won't buy another. Cheap Chinese crap that doesn't balance well or hold air well.

Same goes for the Toyo's. Had a set on the GTO and despite the billing as s great street tire, they were the hardest crappiest tire that would not keep traction that I ever owned. Switched to Goodyear and never had a problem.

Like Bob said though...It all depends on your experiences. Others have probably had better experiences with those brands than I did and are perfectly happy with them...or they don't know what they are missing...

Robert, if you have the choice of two $75 tires one rated at 149 mph and one rated at 110 mph which one is the one to buy.......Personally I think the 149 MPH tire is safer .....you may not feel this way........IMHO.....Mike

Actually; buying tires based solely upon their speed ratings; is kind of like buying soda based solely upon it's calorie count...
There's a lot more in there to worry about.
But I'm actually not a fast rider anyway!

Nevertheless, you used the word 'bottom' and then denied using it without categorization.

Oh, and BTW, I understood all along.

By the way... If the Missus was to buy a FF Mk IV complete kit; how much should it take to complete it in time and $$?

For the same price would you rather pick up a 50 lb load with a rope rated for 50 lbs ............or a rope rated for 100 lbs.,..........it's the same with tires or ladders or anything else..........If it's built stronger .....it's less likely to break.......Is this a concept that's hard to understand......????????
