    Default MadStad Windshield

I am considering adding a larger windshield to my RS as I am 6'6". I am thinking about a Madstad adjustable or a extended BRP windshield. If you have a larger windshield please let me know what brand you have, size of windshield, your height and what you like and don't like about it. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

    Default Madstad is the best

I am 6'2" and wanted a taller shield I tried 2 others before I got the Madstad
for me there is no other than can compare to it.
It is easy to adjust up down forward or back you can have all the wind in your face
or none in seconds. I got the tallest one they make 25"
    I love it

Do the Madstad...at least the bracket. Not all a windshield's attributes are in its height and width. Adjustability is essential...especially when it is as far forward as onthe Spyder.

I'm 5' 9" and have the 22" Madstad. It works perfectly for me. I tried the BRP touring windshield first, but had a lot of wind hitting the top of my helmet and shaking my head at highway speeds. Once I installed and fined tuned the Madstad, all buffeting went away. It's really a great set up. I'd suggest you go with the taller model though, as mine is set at its highest upward adjustment.

    Default Added benefit

The Madstad has a really cool aluminum plate that its brackets attach to. It provides a perfectly located and stable place to install a ram mount for GPS/Phone, etc. Plus the windshield compliments the RS nicely -- much better than the BRP touring shield does.

    Default different brackets?

Did the madstad come with different style of brackets? Or change anytime during production? Anyone that has the windshield, can you post pix of your brackets? Thx

Default I just went out and measured it

Mine is a 24 inch, I can adjust it up & down a full 4 inches also
forward and back almost 3 inches. in the fully down position
I look over the top in the fully up I look through it.
With this shield and the baker air wings I can have all the wind I want
or adjust to have NONE on me or the passenger..
    I give it the Dave's
