Default Spyder up on "The rack"

Installing the highway pegs today. Pick it up with the motorcycle jack and set it on my car ramps and one jack stand. Worked perfect! The other thing that I did was add a brace on the right side from the frame tube down to the attachment point for the highway mount plate. That made the right side much stronger. Brace passes right behind the cooling fan with no clearance issues. Painted it black and when it was back together, it was hardly noticeable.

Nice. Yesterday we went out for a little ride in the country and I had put down the highway pegs while cruising. We stopped at a store and three guys came over with various comments and questions. One of them noticed my highway pegs and put his foot on one of them and flexed it a little. He pulled his foot off before any damage was done and we explained to him that they were intended for a foot rest while riding, not for standing on. That situation was a reminder to me to always put the highway pegs back up when I park the Spyder. Bracing them like you have done on the right side would be a nice way to prevent accidental damage in these types of situations.
