Almost impossible to respond due to factors such as age, driving record, rating for your specific community, etc. Foremost seems to have great rates for Spyders because they actually seem to understand what they are. Many companies have no clue as to what a Spyder is and how to rate it.

Actually $800-900 seems like a great price.
Penny and Rick have owned many motorcycles starting in 1974 with Honda’s, then to Suzukis, Gold Wings and ultimately Spyders.

I use Geico, I pay about 400plus a year. Keep in mind there are several factors that will affect your rate.

I am 25yrs old going through progressive and pay $530/yr. Progressive (for me) was the cheapest by far after checking many options

Like others have said....A lot of things factor into your rate!

That being said, I purchased mine thru my local multi-line agent and they placed me with Grange, $252 per year. Full coverage w/ $500 deductible. Being older DOES have a few perks!!!

    I mentioned this a few times on other insurance posts, But it pays to mention it again;
There are a lot of Yahoos out there driving without insurance or minimal insurance.
Which ever insurance company you go with make sure you have UN-insured/Under-insured coverage,
    And not just the minimum..

    Default Well..!!

You know the variables but we use State Farms but we have the house and three cars so they give us a great rate... Good luck and above all welcome to both the roadster world and this site....

That post wasn't up when I posted. I thought $800 was a great price compared to our premiums but realized our cost is for two Spyders so our individual cost works out to about $380 per Spyder.

    Sorry.

As mentioned by others, rates will vary because of many factors. I use State Farm for my home, car, and both 's. Each is about $55 per month for full coverage.

Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.

    Previously : 2008 GS-SM5 (silver), 2009 RS-SE5 (red), 2010 RT-S Premier Editon #474 (black) 2011 RT A&C SE5 (magnesium) 2014 RTS-SE6 (yellow)

MY FINAL TALLY: 7 Spyders, 15 years, 205,500 miles

IT HAS BEEN A LONG, WONDERFUL, AND FUN RIDE.

I'm in Alabama and have coverage with progressive and I'm paying just over $500 per year. But I also have a low deductible and probably more coverage than I really need.

Post Teddy has a suggestion for ya

Call our man & allow him to give you a quote I think you'll be happy you did
I believe he lives in AZ but he covers many different motorcycle insurance companies nation wide
    Marc Fisher
    1(480) 778-2078

Back in 2010 when we got our first Spyder, we were suggested giving Marc a call from someone here on SpyderLovers, and like others have stated, we're all going to be a little different, but Marc was able to beat my best price by almost half. We've been with Marc for over 3 years now, and each year our price has gotten a little better and we're now paying a little over $400/year for Full Coverage in KY & I'm 42yo Hope this Helps

    American Modern Home Insurance Company...
    100/300/100 Liability
    Passenger PIP
    100/300 sUIM coverage
Comp and Collision with 500 Deductibles...
and $8,000 worth of accessories coverage... ($3,000 was standard...)
    $399.00 for this year's renewal
And I've got an at-fault accident on my record...

    2010 RT A&C
But none of this means anything until you start comparing rates with other folks who live out by you, have the same bike, are the same age and marital status, and have the same driving record..
Then there can be discounts for home ownership and renewals...

I pay $18/month with State Farm in NYS. I'd have to look at my policy to see what all coverage I have. I know that with motorcycles with State Farm you have to have it for full years, not 6 months for example.

Around $900.00 because I live in MA.

But I have to bring the brochure in for the ins- person because they could not bring the VIN # up so I have to show them a picutre of it. The brochure is in there file for records.

First of all, welcome to the small group of Montana Spyder ryders. I'm in Stevensville, and have a Spyder buddy in Lolo, but that's about it for West Central Montana. Maybe one more (white) Spyder in this immediate area. I bought mine from JESCO Marine in Kalispell, and he bought his from Taylor Bros. in Great Falls. He and I are meeting up with a Spyder couple from Kalispell, and two more Spyder types from the Northern Idaho Panhandle this coming weekend, to ride Going To The Sun Road, in Glacier Park. I'm insured with Farmers and AAA Premier Road Service (they will provide a flatbed for a Spyder). Welcome, again, to the Spyder roads of Montana! CapNCrunch : =)

    Default INSURANCE

USAA covers both the 2011 Harley Ultra Glide Limited and the 2012 Spyder Limited for $600 a year, but it is combined with our house and auto policy so we gets some sort of discounts.
