Holy cow! Glad she is okay and wish the best of luck for insurance and that BRP can determine a cause. I'd assume they would want a dealer to collect the remains for an investigation?
Were there any weird signs going on before it went up in flames?
-
But our spyders don't have heat problems....
Glad to hear you are all OK. That really sucks to have it all go up in a poof.

Please convey our sympathy to Spyderann, and tell her we are happy that she is safe.

Very sad. Glad Ann is OK (I hope). That really was a heat issue & a fitting end to something that appeared to give her nothing but trouble.

2013 RTS I believe.
Well, that tells me the issue isn't limited to the ST, but whatever it is, it seems to be more prevalent in the 2013's than earlier models...

Ya know.....

But I got to say, Ann I am extremely glad that you are physically OK, hopefully your mental state is too.
I have a 2009 GS SM Spyder ( bought in 2010) that has 20,000 miles on it and have had basically no problems with it.
BRP better " step up to the plate" on these " heat issues ", or the Spyder may go the way of the Ford Pinto!

Wondering how Ann knew she was on fire....flames or overheating first before jumping off? Scary in any event and I ope brp can come up with some answers and not BS.

Glad to hear she is okay physically but probably really bummed mentally. I know I would be.

Ann...First things first...I'm glad you're ok...Beyond that I'd be extremely ticked off...BRP already had one of thier machines flame up at a demo, now yours...reminds me of the problem with the 08-09 GS's and I thought they had that rectified. You're one of our ambassadores in my eyes and I hope this doesn't discourage you...Keep the faith..I'm behind you as well as many others from Spyderlovers...Let me know if you need any kind of help while you're on the road...Larry & Cindi..
