    Default Hit 25,000 Miles

Patti and I hit 25,000 miles on our 2011 RT today on our way to the Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado. Looking forward to putting a few more thousand miles on it. First long trip since adding the shock relocaters and Elka shocks. The ride is awesome. Got more riding to do the rest of the week.

I'm coming up right behind you. I'll be likely hitting 25k on the way to SITR.

Did you have the valve lash checked at 14k?

    Just wondering how many do...

    Default Miles

I have a little over 26k on my 2011 RSS, but it is in the shop with a possible locked engine
when i bought this bike they sold it as though it would get 35-42 mpg, i have never gotten that type of mpg with this bike. is there a secret to it?

They were thinking about a GL1800 not a spyder or lying you pick...

Did u get the 14,000 mile service done. Does it affect the warranty if not done? My husband does my oil change every 5,000 miles. Have never had a problem with my Spyder. I did have the updates installed in the spring. I just don't want to spend $1000 for the dealership to tell me everything is fine. I can think of a lot of add-on's to spend that money on. Just curious.

    Default 25,000 Miles

Didn't have time to get back on last night. We've been all over Colorado. Arrived at Leadville tonight. We leave in the morning and head to Rocky Mountain National Park and then to Estes Park. In regards to service, I have had all the service done as specified by BRP. I had the 20,000 mile service done at PitBull prior to Spyder Fest.
