    Default DYI FOOT PEGS

just installed my new DYI FOOT PEGS.... Rev. 'C'...

i rode out from my home in SoCar to ride Rt. 12 in Utah, and built a set of 'foot pegs' for that ride, and without them, i'm not sure i could have sat in one position the entire time... with the DYI 'FOOT REST' and now the DYI 'FOOT PEGS'... i can relocate my bottom in various positions to releave the strain on the butt.... BIG BIRD currently is running Rev. 'A' and also has Rev. 'B' at hand... give it some consideration people, especially you guys/gals that are long haulers.... here are some pix:

    per your request....
i used 3/4" box tubing for the horizontal, 1/2" X 3/4" 316 SS bar for the verticals and mounting points... bought a set of Rear Pegs, assembled these to the mount, fabricated 2 pcs of 1" X 1" Angle Iron to be welded to the chassic, pre-drilled mounting holes, removed 1/4" excess material for Angle Iron, assembled horizontal to the 2 angle mounting pcs. then i 'tech' screwed ONE of the angle irons to the chassic, measuring 21" from end tips of horizontal to OEM foot pegs, and welded both angle irons in place... mounting was completed using 5/16x28 bolts... The 'horizontal' bar is 36" in length, the 2 verticals are 7" in length - if that helps...

i'm 6' 1", so your distance may vary if you are taller/shorter than I... best of luck should you decide to build your own...

    THANK YOU.......
as a retired manufacturing engineer with a bad hip, i either figure out how to ride comfortably by building necessary equipment, or shorten my rides - which i DO NOT want to do...
be happy to help anyone that wants to venture into building their own....

What would you want for a set you built?

SO SORRY COWBOY, but i don't build these to sell them...
but i'll tell you what, if my brain comes up with a better idea; as in a Rev. 'D', i'll give you Rev. 'C'...
i've already given BIG BIRD Rev's. 'A' & 'B'... plus he has Rev. 'B' Foot Rest that i've given him...
so it's not out of the question that the possibility is there for a Free-Bee...
however, i would strongly suggest you build your own... this is half the fun of owning a SPYD3R...
i ordered passenger (rear) pegs ($120) and did the rest of the work myself... no big deal, try it...
    good luck...
