Quality Survey Part II
I choose 2 even with spyderpops block off plates my foots still warm. Gonna look for some reflective duct tape to seal the little gaps where it seeps out. Design flaw least in the lower 48 no?

All of the above
You left out all of the above. My complaint is they don't tell you how to ryde it. Every bike I have ever owned had shift points in it. They don't tell you that you should run this vehicle at or above 4000 rpms. Every important thing I learned about the Spyder was on here. This forum. I have read the manuel from front to back. That is just my humble opinion.

BOTTOM LINE
You have to have a good dealer, or you are majorly pooched.

Hmmm somewhat of a catch 22...There are some design flaws which CAUSE us to mod and farkle which then cause other problems.
In my case I went with dealer...when I got mine home all tires were VERY low, oil almost a quart overfilled and zero air pressure in airbag. Wouldn't have been a big deal except for first time rider and dealer being 150 miles away.

Based on the trend of the poll, why not have a 2 part dynamic check list. Part 1 would be done at the factory with required hot tests/checks or the Spyder does not leave the factory, period. Part 2 must be done in a consistent non deferable dynamic regardless of dealer or the Spyder simply will not start. This would seemingly generate consistent quality.
This raises another question. Where in the pre-production scheme would you find bad throttle bodies and ball joints before they hit the production line?

Did you do ANY research before purchase or did you buy on impulse?

Identify what you have control over and find peace with what you don't.

simple vs quailty
I rather pay more and have quality then simple as your thinking

Noob to Spyder
I was A new and used car salesman in a prior life. The #1 thing I learned, especially new, was taking the time to go over the vehicle with customer was instrumental to having a happy customer. One, you are able to find items that prep missed somehow. This didn't happen often. Two, it gave the customers an opportunity to ask questions. It is not good just to send the customer back to service and have them 1/2 ass go over things which is what happened to me. I really appreciated Spyderlovers for their help and info!
