    Default Backrest

Picked up the backrest today. Put the BeadRider seat covers on, too.

I can still store an entire wallet and three keys in the hidden compartment. ;D

It fits nicely, although the shape of the base is a mystery to me. The black foam is soft, yet firm, and it has a bit of a grain not visible in the picture; a wider grain than the BRP seat cover.

The backrest itself does adjust fore and aft several inches in the mount. I'd say you could adjust it behind you while riding (that black wing-shaped flapper locks and unlocks it), but I wouldn't recommend it.

My lovely bride will passenger-test-ryde it tomorrow!

I got my bead rider seat on too and I really like it. It took a little getting used to the fact that it is kind of slippery at first. I think I am really going to be glad I have it for the trip to Valcourt.

Deb, there certainly were some interesting moments as we drove through hilly twisties yesterday with BOTH behinds getting used to the BeadRider!

It is a quick easy on and off, so they'll be coming to downtown Canada with us as well.

I note a different windshield on the bike pictured--it appears to have an upward flare to it. How effective is it--I ordered the largest one available & find it inadequate. Where did you get that one. Cost?? Thanks, "Faithit"

I believe he has the F1 by Marcel as do many here or like my husband he has the EVO II a larger version of the F1. They work great once you get one that is right for your size and adjusted for your riding style. Check out www.spyderwindshields.com. It works best if you are using Internet Explorer as your browser. With my other browsers I don't get all the pages loaded. Must be something to do with the site.

    dltang is right, faithit.

You order by phone from Marcel July. He'll just ask you about how fast you intend to ride & how tall you are.

I don't know if anyone ever mentioned this in all the posts, but I was pleased that there was no negative effect to my passenger due to all the new turbulence as well.
