Reports on Pitbull's Relocator?????
Ok...all those who got relocators at Spyderfest, (heard they sold out)......How do you like them? Do you think they made any difference???? I got BajaRon's Sway bar at Spyderpops and it made a huge difference in my 2012 RT. Just wondering what the relocator would do.

It made a huge difference on my bike. LOVE them. Best add-on from SpyderFest for this year by far!!
You can tell how well the relocators work especially on the curves and with any wind being blown around you. Awesome. Highly recommended.

Pitbull relocators
I agree. They are awesome. I don't have the swaybar and don't think I need it. Going around curves is much easier

Relocators
I had the sway bar and the relocators put on at the same time. There was a big difference on handling. I don't know which did the most. My Spyder is a 2012. I kept the original shocks. I have my shocks set on level 3. Do you think I should go to level 4or5? Mike

I currently have Fox shocks, and the Evoluzione swaybar upgrade from couple years back.... am I to assume this will just make things even better ?

I had the relocators and the BajaRon anti sway bar installed last Wed at PitBull and my RT feels like a brand new ride
really holds the road and cornering better = no more wobbles

Does anybody know if Len is set up to take PayPal so that I can order them now?

I got the sway bar only and I can tell a big difference. I'll wait for a report on the relocators as well.

I've heard enough; I've just got to figure out a way to get some money to him, and a "discreet" package back...

Relocators
I already have the Elka shocks and Ron's sway bar. I'm not convinced that I need the relocators. Yet!

I installed the BajaRon sway bar kit first, tremendous improvement, next I installed the relocator (maybe the first one to do it outside of the Pitt) and it added to the stability on the highway especially in the turbulent zone. I had Elka Stage 1 +R installed at Pitt Bull and got another boost in stability in all areas.
I would do all three again!

I wish you the best of luck with that plan.

I got the Elkas and relocaters last Wednesday. The ride seemed smoother going home but that was all super slab. I think I like them just haven't really put them to the test...I just didn't like wasting 4.5 hours getting them installed last Wednesday when I had made a 10:00 appointment 3 months ago. Next year I'll know it's first come, first serve...

I have to teach myself to stop 'leaning'/countersteering in turns now.... lol
I still want to lean but I dont have to any more

I had both the sway bar; relocated and the shocks add ( all at once ) but really glad I did. On the way home I went through an area with 40-50 mph winds and the bike held the road beautifully.

OH MY.....
I have all three/four handling mods on my RT, each done one at a time and I can tell you all three/four made a difference.
1. Car Tires
- OK NOT REALLY a handling mod but...
- Made handling slightly better, less body roll more stable in turns, due to stiffer side walls and higher tire pressure without sacrificing ride quality in the bumps.
- Completed just before Spyderfest 2012
2. Elka Stage 1+
- Marked enhancement in handling
- Sacrificed some ride quality due to higher pre-load causing road bumps to be a little harsh.
- Completed at Spyderfest 2012
3. BajaRon's Anti-Swaybar
- Without a doubt the BEST of the 4 handling mods for the money spent.
- Reduced Elka Pre-Load and got some ride quality back, bumps are now not so jarring.
- Made the ride MUCH more stable in turns
- Almost eliminated body roll
- Completed 1 week after Ron started shipping them
4. Pitbull's Shock Relocator
- Seriously raised the pucker factor in combination with mods 1-3.
- Reduced Elka Pre-Load even more and got more ride quality back, now I only feel the hardest bumps and they are not so bad.
- Raised the front slightly but reduced pre-load brought it back down.
- Body roll is GONE!
- RT now track like it is on RAILS and ride quality is now fantastic.
- Completed at Spyderfest 2013
I truly have the best of performance and comfort now, EXACTLY what the RT should have been from day one, still testing the limits, hopefully without killing myself!
I would put my RT up against any Spyder/Cruiser out there in the twisties at this point. It is so much fun I cannot wait to go ride even if it is just to go to the store for a gallon of milk.
Every time I come out of a curve I now say to myself "OH MY GOD THAT WAS UNBELIEVABLE!"

kinggeek,
What overall spring length are you running on your Elkas now?
Mine is 8 3/4" overall spring lenght.
Also what are you running the rebound at? I left mine at 25 where John from Elka set them.

9.25 inches. Measured Friday by John at Elka tent. 25 I think whatever it was at when John put them on in 2012.

Pit bull says they can take a credit card over the phone, or you could send in a check. As far as the discreet labeling for Mr. Denman, they have assured me that they have "special" packaging materials just for you!

I was originally going to get the shock relocator brackets installed but decided against them because with my 2012 stock shocks and the Ron Bar I'm happy with the way my RT rydes and handles. Saved the ~$190.00!
I echo the comment about appointments at Pitbull's seemingly not meaning much. Showed up for my Wednesday 2PM appointment at about 1:40 and asked for my key back at about 3:05 when my Spyder was still sitting where I parked it untouched. Just glad what I was going to have done was not critical. I understand Len and the Pit Crew with BRP tech help were slammed but after talking with folks who had been waiting since mid morning for their work to be completed I decided I didn't want to wait any longer than I had already waited. Saved ~$500.00, based on the estimate.
