Good job and congrats on the photo post. I see bjt gave you the same info I did, only better. He posted pictures. By the way, nice saddle bags too. Does the heat off the exhaust bother them or is there a heat shield?

No heat problem as yet------there is an air space allowing enough air movement to avoid any damage------so far. I will have to keep checking just to be sure.

But dose yours have the 4 led amber lights??????
One of my personal touches is the screw at the top of the light fixture--- after prying off it broke the plastic latch within.

Ouch. Used a little too much brute force?

We used a set of Marsee bags that we picked up pretty cheap at Sierra Trading. Michael made them into saddlebags for his BMW 1150R and the set also works on my Spyder. They hold a ton including my outdoor cover and are removable to take in at night. Here are some pics from different angles.

Picked up the Marsee bags at a local outlet store for around $40 a piece, otherwise they are quite expensive. I saw a post with a set of Cortech bags by Tourmaster. They quoted $ 140. I don't know if that included the harness. We had already made our own awhile back, just adjusted the straps to fit the Spyder. The Cortech harness was very nice looking. You might check out their website or search for the prior post.

Thanks for the link. Those bags look really nice. I was going to get something like that, but then somebody posted stuff about the Corbin accessories. I don't know what I'll do now! But I have time to think about it since my SE5 won't be arriving for while. :'(

Don't forget Nelson-Rigg. They have bags similar to the Cortech ones and they have been giving great customer service to Spyder owners. Also, I think their warranty beats Cortech / Tourmaster's by a great deal.
