Spyderfest check-in

My wife, Cindy, Ivorspyder/Ivor and I arrived at Pit Bull Power Sports around 4:00 P.M. Got a chance to say hi to Lamont and several others including Erags, SpyderDen and Barbs. I met several people here at the Best Western. I'm looking at the weather and it actually doesn't appear to be as bad (meaning tons of rain) as originally thought. It is gonna get colder than a well digger's a..... though. Expect the cold weather to start on Wednesday. John and Larry, if you're reading the threads, I honestly don't think ya'll will be getting much rain so ya'll should enjoy the ride in from Jonesboro. It will be cold though.

I got it last night or I should say this morning at 4.30am after riding straight through 1245 miles from North Nj, I will say it could have been a BIG mistake doing it straight after not sleeping the night before and riding straight with no sleep.

Seven of us left Lexington VA this morning at about 8:00 and arrived in Shelbyville KY at about 4:45PM. 5 Spyders a'rolling and 1 a'trailering...having a blast! Will head out in the morning for Cuba MO. Tuesday AM visit Cowtown maybe have some of that infamous MO Hicks BBQ then head for Springfield. Hope the weather forecast for Tuesday has changed from rain and thunderstorms to something dry, but if not, it's only rain and non of us will melt.

See ya'll Tuesday afternoon...woohoo can't wait!

The "Virginia 7" arrived in Cuba MO at about 4PM local. Checked in headed to Cowtown only to find them closed (forgot it was Monday); went to Mo Hicks and had their world famous BBQ. Gonna hit Cowtown when they open in the AM then it's off to Springfield and Spyderest! Tomorrow is going to be cold and wet but a good day because we are Spydering. Any day you Spyder is a good day!

We started off in Tuumcari, NM this morning and it was sunny and mild. As soon as we hit the Kansas border the wind went from mild to hurricane force. I really believe that if they would just plant some trees in Kansas it wouldn't be a bad place. Didn't smell any roses today but did smell some stinky cows instead.

We arrived at our hotel in Pratt, KS and got checked in just before the rain started. I had just put the cover on my Spyder when it started hailing. but I went out a little while ago and had to take the cover off because the wind was howling again and it was going to blow off the bike. Temps have dropped considerably and they are calling for SNOW around midnight

I think we will stay here until they throw us out then we will head to Springfield.

Monday approx 5:30 pm arrived at Pitbullwith ryding partners bitsy, and kickstand. Great ryde today took route 94 west for chesterfield to jackson city, missouri.....nice!

Made it to spyderfest. Got in about 1. Was able to check in early. Pittbull what a great place. Looking forward to meeting everyone. Going to lamberts in a little bit. Heading to Copper Run tomorrow afternoon if anyone is interested.
