Hotel/Motel cleanliness is most important oh and as long its not called bates, no mold on walls etc, I have been known to walk out a few hotels in my life time.

Is there a itinerary yet?
We would love to come too and we love that area, summer is our crazy busy time so an itinerary would be great for planning, thanks
Ok, we are planning on it. Count us in with 2 spyders, 3(possibly 4) ryders, will stay in hotel. Vote for cruise not that it really matters as they are both great choices. Thanks Randy, I think we met you in Gatlinburg at one of the smokies event.
let us know when things are planned.

They've got that "Ballon-A-Fest" thing going on that weekend; will that make it tough to find rooms?

From where I am in CT, Lake George is about two hours away...

Lake george is the perfect place to host this event because it is the home of Americade Rally which hosts 50k motorcycles and many more bikers each June.
Along with the beautiful Lake George area and the best riding the Adirondack Mts can offer, we are also looking to get input of what lunch/dinner gathering you would be interested in.
1. A 2.5 hour cruise on Lake George with a buffet dinner included, at roughly $48.50 per person on this ship.

OR.....
2. Some sort of catered lunch/ BBQ at a place at a cost TBD. My vote is for the dinner cruise on the ship, but would understand if it's to much money for others.
We are kicking around ideas and would like to know how much interest there is on these dates and location, if it's worth moving forward to planning a Northeast event. If there is interest we will look into host hotels and start planning Adirondack rides guided by our fellow members. We are not experts by any means and have never done a bigger gathering before, but we would never know if we can unless we give it a try. This is informal, that means there is no registration costs and you must realize there will be no T-shirts, pins, patches whatever.......... and the only costs are your stay, eats and possibly our gathering function if it's desired. If this event grows, we will grow with it.
Well ??????

I'll have to run it by my wife, but I'm certain we can be there. Hope to see you all there!!!

I grew up in Kansas so a couple of hours doesn't seem far to me (though my wife grew up here in CT so it seems MUCH further to her!). Last time I was there (20 years ago?) I also drove up to Fort Ticonderoga. It seems like it was about an hour from there and my wife loves history so she'd like to see it. Gives us another reason to go (plus if I remember it was a GREAT drive that would be even better on the Spyder)!
I asked her about it and she agreed it's something we need to do so we'll be there. Looking forward to more information!

Count me in too. I prefer motel. I have stayed at the Studio Motel and it is very nice. I prefer the BBQ as I have been on the boat cruises during several Americades.
