I would recommend against using the CB until you get a new antenna. You could damage the CB. I'm not sure the Wally World version will work with the CB. Have the SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) checked by a shop or enthusiast before you attempt to use the WW version. Good idea to check the SWR even after an OEM replacement.

the shorter the antenna the less reception...4 foot antenna works best...go to a cb shop..as Scotty said you could mess up the cb if you try and use it with no antenna

I broke my CB antenna while in a hurry to get my cover on because of storm approaching while traveling in South Dakota. Replaced with a J+M replacement antenna that is pre-tuned with install kit for the spyder.
Giving me better coverage.
