406 Has Arrived, but won't fly...
Hello Fellow Spyder Owners:
I picked up 406 on Saturday, drove it home about 8 miles in the rain, sleet and hail. Parked it in the garage and went inside to celebrate.
Had to work Sunday so I didn't get home until 3 and gave it it's first bath! Went to start it no go.
Lots of juice, turn the key no run through of the electronics. Tried and tried. Different keys I tried. To no avail.
Got P***ed off went in house. Tried every half hour. Nada. Friends dropped by to check it out. Boy was I embarrassed!!!! :redfaced:
My buddy tries it, I try it still wouldn't start. Then he is flicking the kill switch back and forth while I hold the starter down. It starts? ??? Shut it down try again and it starts?
Any opinions. It has 12 km on it, and I am red faced....
Strange but true.

There are others more tech-savvy than me, but, if it isn't a killswitch issue, maybe 12 km wasn't enough to charge up the batt--maybe dealer didn't fully charge it prior to PDI.
Others have written about the flakiness of not having a fully charged batt.
Other problem I thought of was a stucky or otherwise problematic M button.
Hang in there and don't let it spoil your excitement...

I was thinking the Mode button too but I'm sure that you would have mentioned that if it was acting up.

Well, it's at the dealers. And hopefully they will be able to solve it...
Funny it started right away after (8 hrs)... I had it running in the morning. But after 12 or so it acted up.
Hmm I will keep you all posted of the outcome.
No mode button worked ok.
