muffler info
i installed 2 brothers vale muffler , to loud for girl friend,wife. so added 7in alum extenison to quiet tip drilled 30 holes welded ext to tip,just right now. does anyone have info on life of packing,and if pellet stove 1000deg door gasket could be used ,lots of diffrent sizes avail . have 2010rs with lots of mods includeing cable operated brake my invention thank for any info.

The packing lasts about 10k - 15k. You'll be able to hear the sound change, it gets higher pitched and rawer.
You can get the new packing kit from Two Bros. Do not toss the steel wool around the core. Keep it where it is. It makes all the difference in the sound, and gives a longer life to the fiberglass packing.
