MINOR PROBLEM
I recently noticed that my license plate light is not working on my ST-S. I checked the bulb and it looked good. Replaced it anyway and still not working. Wires look OK and the fuse is good, because it controls all the lights. All lights are working except license plate light. Not a big issue, since I haven't ridden at night yet, and I'll be taking it in for it's 600 mile service soon. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas. I assume something has come loose from the wiring harness? Is it easy to check without taking off dash or a lot of tupperware??VisitedStatesMap.jpeg

There is no sense in guessing wildly. Could be a bad connection, a bad socket, corrosion, a bad bulb (that looks good), a damaged wire, or something else. The choices are to trace it step by step, or to see your dealer.

Test lights are pretty cheap and handy to have around.

check for power
Check the socket for power although you replaced the bulb so that may not be it so check for ground connection. Its all plastic back there and you need a good ground..
