We went from Albuquerque, NM to East Tennessee in about 1 day, 1400 + miles. So you should be able to make the 1000 or so miles to Ozark in a day.... One VERY Tough Day!

It would be an Ironbutt for a day ride. I would figure two days.

It's 1000 miles from Northern Virginia to Ozark. I'm anew owner and ryder. No way I'm doing an "Iron Butt" run. Hopefully we will be able to round up some Virginians to ride together.

I was thinking 2 days as well. Maybe stop off in TN or the Charlotte area. Anyone from NC that would like to get a group together please let me know.

If I don't fell like riding that far in a day I like to do 750-800 miles and have a nice easy day riding in on the second day, that way you still feel fresh and up to doing something when you get there. That's just how I like to roll

I concur with Lamont. Once you clear the mountains in Tenn., it should be easier riding. Then once you cross the Mississippi, you get some mountains again. Id think the terrain would make a difference.

Our route from Oregon is up to over 2600 miles now. We are trying to avoid the rocky mountains and snow!

Sorry to hear you're not going to make it. Too bad. We'll try to have some fun anyway!

I am hoping the Canadian numbers pick up when they thaw out. Their keyboards are probably frozen this time of year.....

Be sure to check the NC Forum or any other state close by or that you would go through. Many of the riders are posting in their state forum and planning on pick ups along the way

Not really, spending time I don't have on things that don't need to be done. But I love charts and graphs. Something wrong with me, I know. And I love Spyderfest! I guess I just can't help myself sometimes.

On the outside chance that I can pull off a miracle here; what sort of deadline do we have as far as registering for this shindig?
The Missus was feeling better since it appears that there's a caravan heading SouthWest from up here...

Bob, if it's like last year, you can register when you get there. The only issue night be a hotel room in the vicinity of the group of hotels but there are several hotels in Springfield, MO. You can probably find a room at the last minute if necessary.

Jim/Bob.... correct you can register at the event. Hotel rooms..... I am sure there are all kinds around. I do know most of what we had reserved at the Battlefield exit off 65 are full, but you can always check on the hotels at the Ozark exit (they are not listed on the website) or call one of the ones listed and I am sure they will point you on to one of their sister hotels.
