In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice ... in practice, however, that's just a theory.

5,900 mi on my 2012 RT and less than 6k on the 2010 I traded in. Why such low mileage?
1. A bunch of great TN backroads & twisties start just a mile from our house and the Dragon is only 100 mi away, so when we ride we never rack up much mileage.
2. When we travel to cross country events such as SpyderFest, we haul the Spyder, then camp and ride locally.
3. Being 70 does tend to slow you down a little !
but, we sure do love our RT and have a lot of ryding to do!

Wifes RT has 14,500 miles since September 2011.
She rides to and from work when the weather allows here in Colorado. About to rotate the front tires to try to get a few more miles as the right front is wearing down on the inside.

6008 miles on my 2011 RT-AC since I bought it new in March 2012. Expecting to put a lot more on this winter now that the fuel gauge has been replaced twice, the seat replaced, the battery replaced, the ignition wiring system replaced, and the rear suspension airbag replaced...all since the 5000 mile mark.
OTOH, my wife, who just got her endorsement on it, is talking about us possibly trading it in on a 2013 RT-S. We'll see.

I may be old, but I got to see all the cool bands.

Still working full time, and getting chilly at night.
But I'm gonna try real hard to catch up with you veterans this spring.
