Am I correct that you should not ride these long distance when brand new due to it needing a proper break in period?

Really truthfully just don't set the cruise on 75 and leave it there....change the throttle up and don't run it wide open for long periods the computer takes care of a Lot of the break in..... Today's stuff has break end moods built in.... No worries..... You'll have to stop for gas about 150 miles, stop at stop signs and have some traffic.
Really curious who will be the first ST spyderlovers spyder owner......

regarding color
It's called blackcurrant - all I see is black. After too many black cars and bikes, I wont do that again. So the currant part of the name got me interesteed. On looking at the pics though, it looks like plain old black. Where am I wrong? When does the currant show up? Only in sunlight??
If anyone knows or has seen it, would appreciate knowing what the color name really means. Otherwise I'll go with white.
Thanks.

When you're standing next to it (inside or outside) you can tell it's not true black. But at a glance it does still look black. You can kind of tell in this photo I took of the fender while at the Dallas IMS show. It really is a very deep, rich-looking purple. It's pretty striking.

To me it looks more like eggplant. Not a black I'm fond of but I'm sure it will do well.
