Default Well this is a first for me Spyder RT icing up

I live in western Ma, and I real wish to ride my Spyder RT to work this Friday morning.

Well the outside temp was 28F and it is an hour ride to work. As I was riding on I-91 south going around the Mountain I hit heavy and wet fog. After ½ of riding I looked down and there was big ice chucks forming on the windshield, air deflector and the mirrors.

I would never have ridden my old Goldwing in this temp but the Spyder RT works great. Now as I pulled up to the guard shack the ice chunks started to drop off it was the funniest thing I have seen. I do have to say the Spyder handles great in this temp, but I do need to start thinking about black ice on the road.

    I do love this bike.

Just please make sure to be aware of road surface conditions; if your bike is freezing up, so could the road...

I had the same problem this morning only it was a little warmer at 32 degrees. By the time I drove 18 miles to work at 3:30 a.m. my Spyder RT was an icicle. Glad to see there is someone else like me that rides in the cold.

Beware of black ice. Nanny or not, you could end up upside down in a ditch.

Winterize is not in my vocabulary either. I've been out at 8°F Love the bike for sure! Don't know if you have them, but the Baker air wings help in the cooler weather!
