I spent about an hour trying to figure this job out.
So, to make it a little easier for the next guy (or gal), I took photos.
I have a tall windshield, so I took it off first.
It will be easier to remove the piece of plastic that juts over the instrument panel.
There are small holes you can put a tiny screwdriver to avoid this step.
Use a small flathead screwdriver to un-wedge the instrument panel.
3.jpg Slip off the rubber cap to gain access to the halogen light bulb. Get fingers on the plug attached to the bulb and turn slightly counter clockwise. (I have more photos but was only allowed to attach 5).
Using the small screwdriver unclip both sides of the metal clip holding the bulb, unplug and carefully and remove connector. 7.jpg I went to Pep Boys and paid $16.30 w/CA tax for an H7 bulb. **** Note: Do not touch the new bulb with your fingers. The oils are said to make the bulb blow out...
Hope this is of help to you.

Oh my... Did an Internet search and see the dilemma. I don't blame ya...lol. It would be nice if somebody made a "light service pack". It would include license plate lights...front and rears, headlights, and as an option, fogs. Change them every so often... Well thanks for the tutorial !
Glad I came across this post! I just upgraded the bulbs on my 08 Spyder. What a PIA! Even cut my finger. lol
But, fairly straight forward. I ended up using Sylvania (H7) SilverStar zXe Gold bulbs. https://amzn.to/38SEhDf
