sad to discover the loss-----
new jersey spyder riders and chatterbox regulars have lost a great friend. it is sad for me to mention the death last week of sig borstad, 53 years young, from vernon, nj., an enabled spyder rider that was a friend to many of the thursday night regulars at the chatterbox.
sig has faced many health issues since braking his back in a ski accident over twenty years ago. he never let that get in his way. he road his spyder regularly and enjoyed every minute of it. i had the pleasure of riding with him a couple of times this past summer. i've known sig for many years. he was an avid hunter and sportsman. sig had a bow shop in mcafee, nj for years. he deer hunted just two days prior to his death.
condolences go out to his family! for any bikers interested, sunday, nov. 11th there will be a celebration of his life at his bow shop, in mcafee.

I've seen him at the Chatterbox a few times but i never had a chance to talk to him.
Sometimes there are so many asking questions about the Spyder and then the Tri Glide that the time flies by
and no time is left for the non mechanical personal conversations.

He was still very young, sad to hear, R.I.P

So sad, way to young.
Thoughts go out to family and friends.
After losing people close to me recently, this has become my favorite song. Brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it.
This song is for you Sig.

went to sig's memorial service today. drove the spyder over to show my form of connection with sig. his mom walked over to me and said, "you must be the spyder friend that sig talked about. i have a favor to ask of you. i have hundreds of pictures of my son, but i don't have one with him on his spyder. do you?" i didn't, so, here is where someone out there might be able to help me. does anyone that goes to the chatterbox have possibly a picture of sig with his spyder and his wheel chair on it? if so, please pm me. his mom would sure love a picture if you do. thanks!!!
