Default Looking for a certain old ceramic tile

After countless attempts at locating a certain old discontinued ceramic tile I'm turning to you to check your basement. These tiles were made about 20 years ago but a few cracked in my kitchen and I don't want to replace my whole floor. Thank you in advance.

I'm looking for part number 8625
    Florida Tile /Natura/ Mexican sand 8"x 8"

Have you tackled an internet search for these tiles yet?
Somebody might have some of them somewhere...

Yes, but no luck !!!! Whoever installed these originally, installed them over 1/4" luiane and that is a big no no in the tile world.

Randy, if theres tiles under the frig or in a closet, you MAY be able to swipe a few. Scrape all the grout out then you will most likely have to sacrafice one tile so u can pry up the next...Take a hack saw blade and work on scraping under the tile as far as possible before prying it up. Its a PITA, and may not work, but I've done it once or twice....Good luck

    Default another solution

you could remove the broken tile, and several others randomly around the room, and replace them with a contrasting but coordinating color.
it was fun while it lasted.

Probably much easier than trying to get out hidden tiles intact.

If you are going to remove an old tile with the hope of reusing it make sure you do the following.

    1. Remove all the old grout from around the tile.
    2. This is critical. Old tiles become very brittle. Slide the widest flexible putty knife you can find/borrow/steal under the target tile. If they put the tiles over Luan then they didn't know what they were doing so expect weirdness like tiles glued down with unconventional stuff.
I have been in the floor business for years and I'm a Florida tile dealer I think I just have some I'll check my warehouse when I can and remember your chances of pulling up set tile without breaking them are very slim

We're hoping that some magic happens while you're checking the warehouse...

That what I'm hoping to avoid doing. I personally don't like the look of a floor with different tiles in it.
