That is very good mileage, though you should get 25K out of the front tires if your alignment and air pressure is good.

That is outstanding mileage for a rear tire...about twice what the average owner gets.

I would say that is very good. I got about 11k out of mine. I do lots of highway driving, 60-65 mph. Just curious do you mostly ride in town or lower speeds?

What is an average owner? I'm at 19500 and fronts are fine - less that 1/2 worn. Rear has about 5000 more to go. Granted, I've never gone airborne as some of our posters claim (at least one from my locale) but I move along faster than some but slower than most.

The average owner is basically the majority...or the median. Some owners have gotten less than 10,000 on the rear, and some have gotten over 20K, like you, but most seem to be reporting 11,000-15,000. You are one of the fortunate ones. How much expressway riding do you do?

Very little actual expressway - maybe 10%. 40% 4 lane divided limited access 65 mph speed limit. Enjoy the two lane countryside roads at 50-55 mph with frequent 25-35 signs for turns around the farmyards found in SW Ohio and SE Indiana.

Re: Miles and Wear on Tires
My rear was past wear indicator by 9200 miles. Reason i opted for the Hydroedge instead of same soft kendas. But now I've a noise coming from rear thought it might be missing belt guard rubbing but dealer says not.

Fronts are half gone at 12,100. But had to put a back tire on at 7K. Was running too much air at high speeds and just wore the center out of it. Lower pressure, same speeds, this one is wearing well.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice ... in practice, however, that's just a theory.

Your doing great, I got 22,000 on my rear. At 26,000 the front are still looking good. I should get thru next summer on them.

I do check the air weekly, My fronts are like new. I took a 2000 mile trip to Fla. and the dealer said the rear still could get another 5000 may-be, but I didn't want to take a chance. That would have put almost 30,000 miles on the rear tire.

My guess is the slower the better. I ride around town mostly (no more than 45 mph on straights). I have a feeling my rears are gonna go beyond the median range.

I got 18,000 on back tire replaced it have 8,000 on 2nd rear tire started wearing in middle lower air pressure bedoing good to get 12,000 on it. Front tires have 26,500 still have good thread.

11,000 on the Kenda rear, 28,000 on Kenda front, still rolling on
Kumho Ecsta rear with 17,000 on it
your luck with the Kenda rear is fantastic. I feel they're too soft
and wear out too quickly.

That is great mileage! What are you running for rear tire air pressure?

I keep about 19-20 in the front, and 25-28 in the rear. But I keep a check on them.
