LEDs Installed...

Excuse my night photography , but I am pleased with how my LED's turned out, I used the Ultimate Engine kit from Boogey Lights, and the decal I had custom made using the reflective material that they use for Police and other emergency vehicles, I got the idea on the decal from someone else that posted a link to a site that sold them (Thanks!). During the day the decal blends well with the silver paint, and at night it reflects white. The LED's are on strips that are easily attached behind the covers on the side panels and wherever else you may want them. It's noticeable without being too obnoxious. The kit comes with 78 LEDs that you can cut and click into 3 LED sections to spread them all over the bike, just be sure you have more connectors or some wire to splice, because the spyder is so long you end up using up whats provided rather easily. I also added a Mega TNT Grenade and a stick to the kit that I used up in the front end, and the grenade on the rear tail section. Enough rambling... on to the pics... :thumbs:

The actual decal was a stencil I bought from Tattoofinder.com, then I took it to my local decal man, that changed it up and added some grey/silver color and then print/cut it from some of the nice reflective material. I don't have a direct link, but if you visit there site, then select spiders for tattoo's you will find some neat stencils that you can purchase reasonable.

Looks great!!!! Would love to see a picture or two without the flash. I am thinking of adding LEDs to my Silver Spyder but am torn between Red and Blue - am thinking about getting a multi-color system so I can change it between the two colors on demand.

Looks really sharp... but before venturing out of the driveway with them on, it might be a prudent to check with your local MVD and/or police dept. Most states have restrictions on lights.. especially red and blue! In AZ, all lights must be white or amber from the front, and white or red from behind. :cop:

Here's a couple better shots that I finally got at night... and far as the local law here in GA, s'posedly you can use them, long as they do not shine out ie. toward another vehicle, and they do not flash. If I find out any different I will let you know.

Prolly could have done it in two to three hours, but with interrupts and me not ever having taken all the panels off before I took my time and had a guy at a local shop help me place them thats had alot of experience with neons and LEDs on what would give the best effect, but knowing what i know now I could probably do the same job in half the time. After doing mine, my father inlaw had me do all the chrome on his Harley Roadking in purple... turned out great and I did it in a few hours. I got my kit from www.boogey.com , I used the Flex cut'n'click strips ultimate engine kit that came with the on/off remote, and I added a mega TNT stick and grenade. I think I have around 80 LEDs total. It really looks better in person, especially the red light behind the grills/mesh on the panels.

The dealer says my adding a tail/brake LED may have caused my ignition problem and voided warranty! Trouble is the ignition problem showed up the second time I rode the bike and the light did not go on 'till two moths later!! Just be aware.

Yeah, thats if you cut into existing wiring, the canbus system is real touchy in load changes. This is run directly off the battery since the LEDs draw hardly any power.
