only you know your relationship, personally I would tell the truth as its easier to keep track that way.
Of course you have publicly announced this, now it will turn up in google and your wife will find out anyway.

Two lawyers and a judge would probably have given her that bow if she wanted it. I say, split it with her.

Give her all the money from the sale and stop the weaseling. You should have been mowing in the first place; and besides, she's put up with you all these years. And, as for the farkle, put your foot down and just go buy what you want, after you buy the mower she wants.

I need some REALLY good advice...
You have broken the first rule of the chrome stash, don't talk about it with anybody but somebody else who has one. Rule two always pay I'm cash and throw the receipt away. Never. Remember exactly home much anything costs. When she asks how much something was you can say with complete honesty "I don't remember exactly how much."
This is only what I have heard from my buddy Danno and not based on any actual personal experience.
What does the tractor have to do with this, and how in the heck do you get you wife to mow?

29 years old, you probably won't find parts for it. And if you do, they'll be more than what they're worth. RE the bow: dump it and and hide the coin. Oh crap ...

I think it must be a neighborhood thing. Hubby comments every time he sees a woman mowing the lawn, saying, "Look! There's another one!"'

As the CFO of this family, all money goes into one account. I do not think hiding money from each other is a good idea. It's called trust and the wedding vows of two becoming one. We've always been open and honest, and if either one of us wanted to buy something that may be a bit expensive, we talked to one another about it. If your wife is mowing the lawn, she should have a tractor/mower that is going to work. If the bow is yours, there should be no reason for you to hide the fact that you sold it and want farkle. This is just my opinion. You do what you think is right.............

Funny, but when I had a house my wife and I used to fight over who got to mow the yard because we both loved to do it. Finally we just split it in half, and our own half. Nothing better than walking/smelling fresh cut grass.

Buy her a nice zero turn mower she will love it and you can continue to monitor football to your hearts content. Don't lie about how much you get for the bow that will come back to bite you in the butt. Maintenance of lawn equipment should be your responsibility not hers - just saying.
