Next you want to pin the zipper in place of the seam you just ripped out and sew it on. This was my first time sewing a zipper and I found it was very easy to do this. Repeat the process for the second Passenger Puff.

Will they fit the RT? How about the new ST? Will they void the warranty? Do the have to be removed so the dealer will work on my Spyder?
Seriously, that's quite an idea. Do I see a new sponsor?

Winter and cold and riding season is almost here. This new product arrived in the nick of time and will extend you riding season by months. This product also doubles in the spring, summer and fall seasons as rain hand protection to keep your passengers hands nice and dry during travel. These can easily be unzipped and stored in the trunk in mere seconds.
Introducing....... PASSENGER PUFFS !!!!!!!!!
First you will want to get yourself a set of handlebar muffs for a snowmobile or ATV. You can purchase these on ebay or your local motorsports stores that sell ATV's or snowmobiles. I purchased these for less than $20.00 at my local Arctic Cat dealer. These are 100% water and wind proof and it just so happens this brand matches my bike perfectly.

Next, rip the seam out on the inside edge

Get yourself 2 zippers to sew in place of the seam you just ripped apart. In my particular application I used a 10" zipper. These cost less than $5.00 a piece. The most important thing to understand when purchasing a zipper at your local fabric store is to get one that that is called a "seperating zipper".

Call me old fashioned but wouldn't it be cheaper and less labor intensive to buy a good pair of gloves?

Nice mod, now to figure out how add heating in them. Of course if you got an RT you could get heated rear passenger grips
but nice mod with the sewing machine

I think it is a great idea! I would slide a hand warmer in there or make pocket for the hand warmer. They last for hours and would make them nice and toasty!
-
Maybe a pouch can be incorporated within it for the handwarmers?
